We will celebrate our heritage and future in five key areas:
As we are driven by design, our engineers and designers are passionate about making cars that people want to drive – cars with evocative, compelling designs that inspire people and complement their individuality. Take the Corvette, for example, which ever since it was launched back in 1953, has represented a glimpse into the automotive future. Today, concepts such as the Cadillac Provoq and HUMMER HX continue that tradition.
With its green vision, GM is moving to offer the broadest possible range of advanced propulsion systems, understanding that consumers globally are demanding environmentally friendly automobiles. In the Middle East, we are working with government organizations like the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority to introduce hybrid technology. In 2008, we will bring the Chevrolet Tahoe and Malibu Hybrids, to the region – Another first for GM in the Middle East.
Also, we continue to focus on new ideas to address transportation trends at the same time as we develop new technology and innovations that will address the needs of the global market, both present and future.
As a company with more than a quarter – million employees, GM has an opportunity to change lives on a global scale. This reach allows us to make a positive impact on the world around us; giving something back to the communities we interact with in areas such as education and safety.
GM has been operating in the Middle East for over 80 years and today more than 7500 people work for the company and its dealers.
